The deadly Ebola disease continues to claim lives. New figures released by the WHO on Monday show that 1,561 cases of Ebola have been confirmed since the outbreak began in mid-May - of which 506 people have been reported dead in Congo-Kinshasa. Two people have died of Ebola in Uganda.
The Bundibugyo virus variant is behind the current outbreak. There are no vaccines or specific treatments for it.
