The World Health Organization (WHO) is halting all evacuations of the sick and injured from Gaza after a person hired by the organization was killed on Monday.
"WHO is devastated to confirm that a person engaged to perform services for the organization was killed during a security incident today," its director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X, without providing further details about the incident.
Evacuations are suspended until further notice.
