The WHO expresses concerns about the Israeli attacks that affect healthcare workers and facilities in Lebanon.

We are very worried about the increased attacks on healthcare personnel and facilities in Lebanon. The figures are actually quite shocking. There have been 102 deaths, 83 injured, says WHO's spokesperson Margaret Harris at a press conference in Geneva.

The WHO keeps statistics on attacks on healthcare facilities, but does not report who was behind the attacks.

A total of 55 attacks have been verified, but the health department reports much higher figures since many employees have been killed and injured outside of working hours. It matters because the healthcare systems are already overloaded, says Harris.
