The doll has been given its appearance from the video for Houston's hit "I wanna dance with somebody (Who loves me)" from 1987 and has big curly hair and a tight light purple dress, along with colorful earrings and pumps.
"With a microphone stand in her hand, she's ready to chase away your melancholy," Mattel writes in a presentation of the doll.
Whitney Houston died in 2012 at the age of 48. She was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills hotel room.
