"President Trump continues to be in excellent health and demonstrates strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical fitness," his physician Sean Barbabella wrote in a statement released by the White House.
Trump, who turns 80 next month, is taking three medications, two to lower his cholesterol and one to prevent cardiovascular disease.
According to Barbabella, Trump is “in excellent shape to carry out all his duties as commander in chief and head of state.”
But the 191-centimeter-tall president has gained weight since a health check-up in April last year - from 101.6 to 108 kilograms.
He has therefore been advised to follow a diet and increase his physical activity to lose weight.
