Trump has not been to any World Cup matches, but he said before the tournament started that he would watch the final.
His presence will crown the most watched, safest and most successful World Cup in American history, says press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Trump will not be joined in the grandstand by Argentine President Javier Milei. He is staying away from New Jersey, just outside New York, due to superstition.
Milei tells radio station El Observador that he "under no circumstances" wants to break his ritual, which has so far brought him luck, of watching Argentina's World Cup matches from the presidential palace.
Correction: In a previous version, the caption was incorrect regarding the World Cup trophy. The image has now been changed and Trump is holding the World Cup trophy.
