On Wednesday, the world market price of wheat fell for the third day in a row. A 2.8 percent decline to just under $6 per bushel (about 27.2 kilograms) marks the lowest futures price since July 1, Bloomberg reports.

The price drop comes after Russia temporarily approved cargo ships to travel via the Sea of Azov, an inlet of the Black Sea that leads out to the world’s oceans. Ukraine is a major exporter of grains such as wheat.
