The Nytorgs man is now named Fredrik Lundgren. He has changed his name several times and previously went by the names Andreas Holm and Carl Erik Pursiainen. He is 38 years old today.

Between 2018 and 2020, he committed several sex crimes in Stockholm, near Nytorget on Södermalm, hence the nickname "Nytorgsmannen". In several of the rapes he was convicted of, he committed the assaults when the women were sleeping or unconscious.

In November 2021, he was sentenced by Södertörn District Court to five years in prison for seven rapes and several other sex crimes. The prosecutor had charged him with 24 rapes and demanded a significantly longer sentence - twelve years. He was also sentenced to pay damages to the victims. The Court of Appeal later upheld the sentence.

The man often met the women at the pub and invited them to his apartment. In some cases, he cut open the victims' clothes while they were sleeping. Several of the crimes were filmed and later found on his mobile phone.

During his time in prison, the man has not wanted to participate in treatment for sex offenders. He has also been reported for several cases of "misconduct". Despite this, he was conditionally released in March 2024, which sparked widespread protests.

Last autumn, he was arrested again at his then home in Hörby, suspected of raping a 17-year-old girl from a HVB home. They had met outside a store where she asked Lundgren to buy cigarettes. His phone also contained several video films where he had filmed under women's skirts.

In Lund District Court, he has now been sentenced to an additional five years in prison, for the rape of the 17-year-old girl and for sexual harassment on 38 different occasions.
