August 4, 2024: The police are alerted during the night to a violent incident at an address in the Frogner district of central Oslo. Marius Borg Høiby's then-girlfriend has been beaten and her apartment vandalized. A knife is stuck in the wall and a crystal chandelier has been torn down onto the floor. The woman has visible head injuries and a concussion.

August 6: Høiby is arrested, suspected of assaulting a woman with whom he is in a relationship.

August 7: Crown Prince Haakon speaks out about the allegations against Marius, calling them serious.

August 14: Høiby admits in a statement to NRK that he used violence against his then-girlfriend and wants to take responsibility for his actions. He says that he had used alcohol and cocaine at the time and that he has struggled with addiction for a long time.

During the late summer and autumn of 2024, more suspicions against him emerge. Høiby's name is removed from several pages on the Norwegian court's website. Aftenposten reveals that two of the former girlfriends notified the crown prince couple as early as 2023 about the violence he subjected them to.

November 18: Høiby is arrested on suspicion of rape and breach of a restraining order against a former girlfriend. In connection with the arrest, the police search his home on the Crown Prince and Princess's estate Skaugum outside Oslo.

November 20: Høiby is remanded in custody for a week.

During the winter and spring of 2025, Marius Borg Høiby is accused of additional crimes. He is now suspected of rape, vandalism and violation of a restraining order, among other things.

August 18, 2025: Marius Borg Høiby is charged with 32 crimes, four of which are rapes. He is also charged with assaulting a former partner and filming the private parts of several women without their knowledge or consent.

January 19, 2026: He is charged with two additional crimes, including drug offenses where Høiby is alleged to have received at least 3.5 kilograms of cannabis in July 2020, which he transported and handed over to a person in Tønsberg. He is also charged with violating a restraining order. Høiby pleads guilty to the crimes.

February 1: Marius Borg Høiby is arrested in his apartment and is remanded in custody the following day for four weeks on suspicion of new crimes. These include assault, threats with a knife and violation of a curfew, which, according to the police, were committed over the weekend.
