According to the organization, they have seen “an improvement in food availability and in the nutritional status of children.”

In May, food packages were delivered to around 1.5 million people in Gaza, 60 percent of children under the age of five received nutritional supplements and around 700,000 people received financial support, according to WFP.

At the same time, WFP warns that the aid, which also consists of nutritional supplements as well as agricultural and health interventions, may be at risk. Currently, only one border crossing is open for aid, which limits aid shipments.

The import of certain goods, such as medical equipment and fuel, is subject to restrictions.
