The Chinese gaming and entertainment company Tencent reports sales of 161 billion yuan, equivalent to 235 billion kronor for the second quarter of the year. An increase of 8 percent compared to the same period last year.
The operating result landed at 50.7 billion yuan, which was 26 percent higher compared to the same quarter last year, but slightly lower than expected.
Behind the sales increase lies, among other things, a successful launch of the mobile game Dungeon and Fighter. The all-in-one app Wechat is also a cash cow for the company.
Tencent's share has risen 26 percent so far this year.
