Weapons were easily accessible to children - man sentenced to prison

A man in his 30s has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison after, among other things, a gun was found within easy reach of children in his home.

The man was stopped while driving under the influence of drugs - which led to a search warrant.

In the home south of Kalmar, 3D-printed weapon parts, ammunition and weapons magazines were found, reports P4 Kalmar . Narcotics were also found there.

In addition, a semi-automatic pistol was located on a bedside table within reach of children, which, according to the prosecutor, was an aggravating circumstance, writes Barometern .

The man, who was released on parole, was convicted of several counts of aggravated weapons offenses, drunk driving, and drug offenses, among other things.

A 25-year-old woman was sentenced to a suspended sentence and community service for aiding and abetting a serious weapons crime and drug offense.
