“The most important thing: We haven't gotten out of this yet" announces the national weather service in Los Angeles on X and warns that the winds can increase in strength during Wednesday. The wind warning is now in effect from Wednesday morning.

The firefighters, who have received help from Canada and Mexico, seem to be getting the upper hand on the largest of the fires, the one that has ravaged Pacific Palisades.

Due to the fires, 90,000 households have been left without electricity as power lines have been shut off to avoid risking contributing to the fires.

Around 12,000 buildings have been destroyed as the fires have swept through. According to the authorities, the fires have spread over an area of 160 square kilometers.
