"We haven't had this little snow in any winter since 2019, and it's clearly visible in the spring flood," says Johan Sigvardsson, price analyst at electricity trading company Bixia, in a press release, where he also refers to the war with Iran and high fuel prices.

After a relatively expensive April, the price in southern Sweden is expected to fall to around 60 öre per kilowatt-hour in May and 50-60 öre in June, compared with 45-60 öre in May and 25-40 öre in June last year. In the north, the price is expected to fall to around 20-30 öre.

The so-called system price (in the Nordics) will be approximately twice as high as last year.

The rest of the year is also expected to be more expensive than normal.

On top of the stock exchange price, there is electricity tax, VAT and an electricity network fee of well over one krona per kWh.
