Irobot revolutionized the vacuum cleaner industry when it launched its Roomba model in the early 2000s. But in recent years, profitability has been weak as cheaper competitors have increasingly taken over.
Now the listed American company is going bankrupt and being taken over by Chinese supplier Picea Robotics.
