Bob Woodward and Washington Post colleague Carl Bernstein's revelations about Richard Nixon's criminal wrongdoing led to the president's resignation in 1974. Since then, Woodward has established himself as one of America's foremost investigative journalists - and has written several books about Donald Trump, among other things.
Now he's turning his attention to himself. In September, the book "Secrets: A Reporter's Memoir" will be released. And now the 83-year-old can be more open than before about the reporting he has done.
"Some of my best sources are dead and I can tell you more now," he tells Axios.
