Pressure reductions will be introduced at the beginning of summer as groundwater and surface water levels have dropped below normal due to insufficient rainfall.
In addition to pressure reductions, the Gotland region may also close water kiosks in certain areas, reports P4 Gotland.
"The water hasn't run out; we're not at that point yet. We have no problems with the delivery of our drinking water today; however, the margins are smaller because of the low groundwater and low surface water levels," says Patrik Johansson, drinking water manager for the Gotland region, to the station.
