A non-profit organization in Mariefred has found itself in an acute crisis after a couple of its water pumps ran amok, as the website Feber was first to report.
During a test of new hardware, a technical fault caused the pumps to send approximately one text message per second, 24/7, for a month. The invoice for 1.4 million kronor was 32,000 pages long and had to be delivered to the Slottsbrinken lake water association in a box.
We are such a small association that we are unable to pay and, in the worst case, we will go bankrupt, says the association's chairman, Ludvig af Klinteberg, to SVT Sörmland.

The telecommunications company behind the hardware has now decided to withdraw the invoice, and the lake water association has thus been saved from bankruptcy.
