He is part of the working group within the police and the National Board of Health and Welfare that has examined acts of violence on behalf of the government. Among the cases are the mass murder at Risbergska School in Örebro and the murder of psychiatric coordinator Ing-Marie Wieselgren.
In all cases, the perpetrators have exhibited risk factors such as mental illness, social isolation and explicit threats.
The information about these risk factors was available on these perpetrators, but it was not shared with other social actors, says Bröms.
The report will not be presented until January 2027, but Bröms already outlines one measure that will be proposed.
