The warning concerning the Lapland mountains is valid from 9 am on Sunday until 3 pm. Strong winds combined with snowfall cause reduced visibility and SMHI urges cancellation of mountain trips.
In some western parts of Jämtland County, there is a warning of sudden ice slippage from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. In more eastern areas of the county, as well as in parts of Gävleborg County and in southwestern Västernorrland County, there is a slip warning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SMHI urges road users to adjust their speed and allow plenty of time for their journey. There is also a risk of delays and cancellations in public transport.
In addition, a warning for ice slips is in place in the southern part of the Västerbotten coastline until 10 a.m. on Sunday.
