A yellow warning is in effect between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. in an area that includes Piteå, Luleå, Kalix, Haparanda, Övertorneå, Jokkmokk, Älvsbyn and Boden.
A yellow warning has also been issued for Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur and Sorsele between 5 am and 1 pm.
"Drive carefully and adapt your speed to the road conditions. Allow more time for your journey," SMHI writes on its website.
There is also a risk of delays or cancellations in public transport.
A yellow weather warning means consequences for society and certain risks for the public.
