Among the index-heavy winners are mining equipment company Epiroc and industrial group ABB, up 3% and 2.9% respectively.
Construction and installation company Bravida posted a strong performance and rose more than 15%.
Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca went in the opposite direction, down 1.8%.
Markets were also higher in Frankfurt and Paris, while the London Stock Exchange fell sharply.
Markets continue to focus on the tense situation around the Strait of Hormuz, where the ceasefire between the US and Iran is fragile after shelling from both sides.
A barrel of North Sea oil was around $111 at 5:30 p.m., compared with around $70 before the US and Israel began a bombing campaign against Iran on February 28 of this year.
