Wall Street mostly lower after Trump says war against Iran is over

After a few minutes of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.1 percent, while the broad S&P 500 index was down 0.2 percent and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index was down 0.6 percent.

On Friday night, Trump claimed at a digital rally with supporters that the war against Iran had been "ended," the latest in a long line of statements on the same peace-related theme.

The hope for an end to the conflict has caused the price of oil to drop significantly in the past 24 hours; at 3:30 p.m., a barrel of North Sea oil was just over $89.
