At 4:30 p.m., the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds is 5.06 percent. Other U.S. market rates are also moving up, which can be seen as a sign that the market is worried that the country's central bank, the Fed, may raise its key interest rate.

Rising interest rates are spreading on Wall Street. After just over an hour of trading, the Dow Jones industrial average is down 0.3 percent, the broad S&P 500 is down 0.6 percent, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq is down 1 percent.
