The prestige brand Ducati is one of several hundred of VW's various businesses that are under evaluation as the German automotive group prepares for a major overhaul.
It is part of an evaluation process where we are also talking about Ducati, but nothing has been decided, says Gernot Döllner, CEO of Audi, which is part of the Volkswagen Group.
Based on what other motorcycle manufacturers are valued at, Ducati could have a market value of around 1.25 billion euros, equivalent to 14 billion kronor.
