Bosnian Serb commander Mladic was serving a life sentence when he died on Thursday, aged 84.

Serb leader Vucic was sharply critical of the UN:

We now see that they wanted Mladic to die behind bars. It was uncivilized, unprecedented and inexcusable.

Serbia's Justice Minister Nenad Vujic has already announced that Mladic will be given a state funeral.

Mladic, dubbed the “Butcher of Bosnia,” was convicted in 2017 by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for his role in the Bosnian War and the Srebrenica genocide.
