Museum of the Year is awarded annually to a Swedish museum that has distinguished itself through innovative thinking and socially-embedded activities.
The prize is awarded by the Swedish Museums and the Swedish International Council of Museums (ICOM).
"The nominated museums demonstrate an impressive breadth and strength in Swedish museums," says jury chair Maria Sidén in a press release.
The prize will be awarded during the annual meeting of the Swedish Museums in Uppsala on April 21.
