Vonn's third surgery: I'm making progress

Lindsey Vonn remains hospitalized after her crash in the women's downhill race and has undergone several surgeries.

"I had my third surgery today and it was successful," Vonn writes on Instagram.

"I'm making progress and even though it's slow, I know I'll be okay."

Vonn tore her left cruciate ligament in the last World Cup race before the Games, but chose to compete in the Games anyway. In the first race, the downhill, the 41-year-old skied into a gate and crashed badly.

She was taken away on a stretcher by an air ambulance, and it was then clear that she had suffered a fractured tibia.

"Grateful for all the incredible hospital staff, friends and family who have been by my side, and for all the love and support from people all over the world," Vonn writes.
