The club festival Viva Sounds in Gothenburg is focusing this year on how to discover music in a time when music journalism has been marginalized, according to a press release.

The festival is a meeting place for the music industry's independent actors, with performances and panel discussions. This year, among others, the award-winning Rolling Stone journalist David Fricke will be visiting.

"There has never been so much new music, but never been as difficult to discover it", says Mattias Tell at Viva Sounds in a press release and emphasizes that "the space for music journalism in established media is shrinking and the algorithms often lead to established or old music".

Viva Sounds in Gothenburg takes place between November 27 and 29 with acts like Kakkmaddafakka, Peces Raros, Schizophonics, Pascal, Axel Ruby, Makthaverskan, Crescenterna, MaidaVale and Genom Natten.
