Vision has been affected by a comprehensive leak, the union reports on its website. Information about nearly 300,000 people has been leaked.

”Vision has discovered that a function in the membership application on Vision.se has been utilized to match a large number of personal identity numbers with address information”, the union writes on its website.

No information about membership has been disclosed.

We do not want to speculate about what has happened or in what way it has occurred. We have reported the incident to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, says Caroline Cederquist, press chief at Vision, to Aftonbladet.

Vision has sent an information letter to those affected, where they are urged to be vigilant since there is a risk that the information will be used for fraud attempts.
