"Today's message means that Viscaria's environmental permit can no longer be appealed and thus gains legal force", writes Viscaria.
The company adds that it can now "with full force" continue preparations for the reopening of the copper mine.
"We now have all permits in place to start building the industrial area, including the enrichment plant, and begin mining in the mine. Today's message is a major step towards our vision of becoming an important contributor to the growing global demand for sustainably produced copper", says Jörgen Olsson, CEO of Viscaria, in a comment.
In November last year, the Environmental Court of Appeal also decided not to take up the appeal of the environmental permit - from Gabna sambeby and three private individuals - for consideration. The Land and Environmental Court had then, on May 6, decided to give the green light for the project.
