Debit card company Visa is cutting 2,600 jobs, equivalent to 7 percent of the company's workforce, in a comprehensive cost-cutting programme.
The cuts are partly related to AI solutions within the company, according to information provided to Bloomberg. In addition, the savings will contribute to future investments. Visa is not alone in announcing similar savings packages. In May, it was announced that PayPal would lay off 20 percent of the company's employees.
