Virginia residents have voted in a referendum to redraw the state's electoral districts in a way that could give Democrats four additional seats in the House of Representatives.
The announcement is a setback for U.S. President Donald Trump, who last year began a fight to redraw the country's electoral map by urging Republicans in Texas to redraw them.
However, the Virginia Supreme Court is considering whether the measure is legal.
