Virgin Galactic, founded by Richard Branson, has so far sold recreational space travel on the spacecraft Delta for around 600,000 dollars per person, equivalent to approximately 5.7 million kronor, reports Bloomberg.
The company's executives did not disclose the new ticket price during the telephone conference held in connection with Virgin Galactic's interim report.
The first space flight with the new spacecraft Delta is planned to take place in the summer of 2026 and will be a research mission. Thereafter, the first trip with private astronauts is intended to be carried out in the autumn of 2026.
