But no one seemed happier than Zsolt Hegedus, tipped to become Hungary's health minister. His jubilant dance at the election vigil was broadcast around the world.
At the opening of parliament in Budapest on Saturday, it was time again. Magyar's speech to supporters in front of the grand building turned into a veritable folk festival. Hegedus danced and showed off his now-world-famous air guitar.
The party atmosphere lasted well into the evening, when Magyar also performed as a disc jockey, news videos show.
