Large clouds of smoke were visible over Stockholm early Monday morning after the villa caught fire overnight. The property was under renovation and was uninhabited at the time.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but the police will conduct a technical investigation.
Recently, there have been several fires in the area, and the police have decided to strengthen their presence there, Svenska Dagbladet writes.
"We have put together a plan to increase police presence around the clock," local police chief Jonas Englund told the newspaper.
