"Since the mandate I won as the top candidate on the Fidesz-KDNP list is in fact a parliamentary mandate for Fidesz, I have decided to return it. Right now I am not needed in parliament, but in the reorganization of the national camp," he says in a video on Facebook.

Opposition leader Péter Magyar won 141 of 199 seats in the election on April 12. The victory puts an end to Orbán's 16 years in power.
