It feels fantastic. A really good feeling to score a goal, and of course to win the match as well, says Gyökeres to TNT Sports.
Eberechi Eze ran on the right flank and made a stable pass to Gyökeres, who came running into the penalty area and slammed the ball in to 2–0.
The goal is Gyökeres' third in Premier League since he joined Arsenal during the summer.
The guys in the team have been fantastic, it has been very easy to get into the group. Of course, it takes some time to get used to everything around, but it feels good, says Gyökeres.
Received criticism
After Gyökeres' incredible goal harvest in Portugal with Sporting, the 27-year-old has had high demands on him in Premier League. Before Saturday's match, the striker had "only" scored two goals in three matches in the league, both came in Arsenal's 5–0-crush against Leeds, a result that some critics considered was too weak for a player like Gyökeres.
Even in the Swedish national team, there have been question marks around Gyökeres, especially after the Swedish fiasco in the World Championship qualification. Gyökeres was goalless against both Slovenia (2–2) and Kosovo (0–2).
Tough start for Postecoglou
The first goal in the match was scored by Martin Zubemendi in the first half, when he made a huge shot on the rebound after a corner. The Spaniard was really on the mark in the match. He also scored the final 3–0 goal, this time with his head.
No fun debut for Nottingham's new coach Ange Postecoglou. He has replaced Nuno Espirito Santo who was fired on Tuesday.
Arsenal now tops Premier League with nine points, but Liverpool with the same points has one match less played. The reigning champions play on Sunday against Burnley, possibly with Alexander Isak in the team.
