Sporting Lisbon were on their way to defeat in the Portuguese cup final in football against Benfica. But far into extra time, Swedish attacking star Viktor Gyökeres entered the action.
He challenged Benfica's Renato Sanches, was fouled – and got a penalty. He took care of it himself and scored the equalizer, 1–1, in the eleventh minute of extra time.
In extra time, Dane Conrad Harder headed in 2–1 and Francisco Trincão extended to 3–1, which took the cup trophy to Sporting. Last week, Sporting also became Portuguese champions, largely thanks to Gyökeres' 39 league goals this season.
