Therefore, the sports star will miss Sweden's national team matches against Hungary in Budapest and Algeria in Solna.

Viktor has a lighter injury feeling that he needs to rehabilitate and the medical team has come to the conclusion that he cannot play against Hungary or Algeria, says the national team's press chief Petra Thorén.

The national football team is thus missing its three big offensive stars in the coming matches. Dejan Kulusevski was not selected for the squad due to injury and Isak was forced to cancel last week, with a lighter injury feeling.

The team captain is going to be a dad

Moreover, the team captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is a question mark. He and his wife are expecting their third child.

Sebastian Nanasi and Lucas Bergvall, two profiled players in national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson's national team, will also miss the national team matches on Friday and Tuesday due to injuries.

Considering that the coming two national team matches are rehearsals before the start of the World Championship qualification in September, the cancellations come at the most inconvenient moment. Sweden will start the qualification against Slovenia and Kosovo, both away.

Victor Gyökeres scored masses of goals during his second season in Sporting. Only in the Portuguese league did he score 39 goals and won the top scorer title convincingly.

Price tag of 700 million

This has made him extremely attractive to several big clubs. Speculations about his future have been going on for a long time. According to relatively consistent media information, Gyökeres, 26, has a price tag of 700 million kronor on him.

Arsenal, Juventus, Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid are some clubs that are said to want to recruit the national team striker.

Midfielder Hugo Larsson regrets that Gyökeres is the latest in line to report sick leave.

- First and foremost, it's sad to lose all these quality players. We will miss them, but we have to do our best anyway.

- What reason he has since he's not with us I don't know, but presumably, he wants to take it easy, which can be understandable, says Larsson

Anton Salétros sees the absence of several strong names as an opportunity for others to step forward.

- It can't be said that it doesn't affect when it's probably our three clearly biggest stars that are missing. But it's up to others to take the chance.
