Arvidsson extended the team's lead to 3–0 with a wrist shot in the penultimate minute of the second period.
However, the 32-year-old was not finished there, also setting up forward Pavel Zacha, who scored Boston's next goal at the beginning of the final period.
The opposing team then scored their first and only goal on an assist from Swedish player Elias Salomonsson.
The victory was Boston's first after two straight losses.
