According to Viking Line's Swedish communications manager Eleonora Hansi, the breach targets passengers who pre-ordered duty-free goods for their cars.
This concerns a subcontractor of ours. It does not concern all of our travelers or traveler data, but customers who have placed such “pre-orders”.
The shipping company is currently investigating how many customers have been affected. No card details have been leaked, Hansi assures.
It's about the amounts you have ordered goods for and which car they are for.
The incident has been reported to the relevant authorities in Finland.
We are investigating further together with the authorities and this subcontractor, Hansi says.
