Viggo Björck records first NHL point with assist in Winnipeg win

Swedish rookie Viggo Björck has scored his first NHL point. The 18-year-old had an assist as Winnipeg beat Vancouver 6-2 last night.

Björck was drafted eighth overall by Winnipeg this summer and has since played about ten games for the club.

Although he has come close several times, the former Djurgården player had not scored any points - until now.

In the second period, Björck played through Canadian teammate Mark Scheifele to make it 5-1, recording his first NHL point.

Swedes also scored points for the losing team. A Swedish link-up between Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Liam Öhgren gave Vancouver a goal.
