Björck was selected eighth overall by NHL club Winnipeg in this summer's draft and will play for one of the organisation's teams next season.
"We wish Viggo the best of luck in his new club and respect his decision, even though we would have liked to see him in Djurgården for another season," says Marcus Due-Boje, sports director at Djurgården.
Last season, Björck had six goals and nine assists in 42 regular-season games and was part of Tre Kronor's World Cup squad this spring.
