The Vietnamese low-budget company Vietjet Air is doubling an earlier order from the aircraft manufacturer Airbus and purchasing an additional 20 aircraft of the A330-900 model. The order was signed in connection with French President Emmanuel Macron making an official visit to Hanoi.
According to sources for the French news agency AFP, the order itself is worth around 8 billion dollars. Vietjet Air intends, in addition to expanding in Asia, also start flights to Europe.
