After six losses in a row, Dallas earned two points in the NHL last night, beating Washington 4-1.

The Texas team has had a few really shaky weeks in terms of play. The last victory came on December 21st and since then the team has conceded a whopping 25 goals in six straight losses.

Last night, the trend finally broke when Dallas defeated Washington on the road.

Dallas held a relatively comfortable two-goal lead. Washington scored its only goal at 17:41 of the third period through Alexander Ovechkin. With about 20 seconds left in the game, Roope Hintz put Dallas up 4–1 with an empty-net goal.

Corrected: In a previous version, the wrong number of points was stated.
