Söderström moved home before the past season after four seasons in North America when he rejected an offer from Utah.
He was traded in winter from Utah to Chicago, but did not want to sign a contract with them either.
When he was traded again on Saturday night to Boston, Söderström chose to take a one-year contract, however.
Boston writes on X that Söderström signed a two-way contract for the 2025-26 season worth 775,000 dollars, equivalent to approximately 7.3 million kronor.
Victor Söderström scored 37 points (9 goals + 28 assists) in 49 regular season games and finished tied for fourth in the defensive points list.
“Brynäs IF thanks Victor for his efforts, at the same time as we congratulate and wish him a lot of luck,” Brynäs writes on its website.
