It was the 30-year-old's first hat-trick in NHL – and his first goal for the season.
It felt good (to score a goal). I have shot a lot, unfortunately not much has gone in, but in the end it usually comes if you keep shooting, said Olofsson.
In the second period, he struck. Then it just continued.
I do not really know what happened, but it bounced right with both goals and assists and it was of course nice. Above all, that I got to score my first goal for the season and it did not matter that I got to hang two more pucks, he says to Aftonbladet.
After Olofsson scored the first goal, it took just under five minutes before he made his first assist. He managed to finish the second period with another assist, and in the third period, he was the only goal scorer with two more goals.
Olofsson left Vegas for Colorado this summer.
I actually think it has been an easy move and easy to get into everything new here, and I have felt safe in my game and kept a high level. But it was of course nice that it started to work out in this way now, he says to Aftonbladet.
One of Olofsson's goals was set up by Swede Gabriel Landeskog. Also, Swede Jesper Bratt, who plays for the losing team New Jersey, got an assist.
