"I've had a lot of good chances but haven't managed to get the puck in until tonight, so it felt really good to get that goal," Olofsson told nhl.com.
Olofsson was traded from Colorado in early March and has so far played seven games for his new club.
The Swede's opening goal came in the eleventh minute of the second period and strengthened Calgary's lead to 2–0.
After the game ended and Calgary's second straight victory was secured, the team's new Swedish player was named one of the three stars of the match.
"I'm really happy to be here, and now it's just a matter of trying to get the game going as quickly as possible. They've received me very well here, so I'm really enjoying it," Olofsson said.
