Sweden's national team captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is ready for Aston Villa, reports the Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano on X.
The parties are said to agree on a contract that extends until the summer of 2027 with an option for an additional year. According to Romano, Lindelöf is now undergoing the mandatory medical examination.
Lindelöf, who has been without a club since he left Manchester United after last season, has recently been rumored to Italian Fiorentina. Now it seems that it will be a move within the Premier League instead for the 31-year-old, who was left out of Jon Dahl Tomasson's national team squad for the World Championship qualification in September with reference to being clubless.
The Västerås-born center back has previously, in addition to Manchester United, represented Västerås SK and Benfica.
